Get Ready for Campus

*This post was sponsored by Sears. All the opinions are mine.*

My husband loves the home improvement show with Ty Pennington and, as you might know, Ty is a spokesperson for Sears. He has some great tips for those who are sending their children off to college this fall - there are ways to make a dorm room seem "more like home." Jonathon still hasn't made up his mind if he's going to live on campus but I'm getting a jump start on ideas to with Sears' CampusReady. They have got the best ideas for decking out a dorm room that I've ever seen!

Now obviously we wouldn't be able to purchase absolutely every item in my favorite "room" - the Haute Couture, so that's where it might be a good idea to put a bug in the ears of those people who call and ask, "What can we give for a graduation gift?"

While you're browsing dorm rooms at Sears, be sure to enter the upromise sweepstakes. It could get you as much as $10,000 toward college tuition. While we're talking about upromise, I have to let you know that I think it's a smart step toward saving for college expenses. I finally got wise and opened an account a while back. Another $10,000 in that account sure would be a great boost.

Before I go enter the sweepstakes myself, I don't want to forget to tell you that CampusReady on Facebook is an application that college kids will have fun perusing while learning about college life. Try doing the roommate matchup.
