Personality Test

I visited Lynn at Spiritually Unequal Marriage tonight and saw that she was encouraging people to take a personality test. I wondered if I am a lion, beaver, otter or golden retriever. Overwhelmingly (and I really mean overwhelmingly), my result was:

Beaver— Beavers are very organized. Beavers think that there is a
right way to do everything and they want to do it exactly that way. Beaver
personalities are very creative. They desire to solve everything and desire to
take their time and do it right. Beavers do not like sudden changes. They
need reassurance.

Biblical Example: Moses
Case Study: Exodus 3-4
Strength: High standards, order, respect
Weakness: Unrealistic expectations of self and others, too perfect
Limitation: Seeing the optimistic side of things, expressing flexibility

Oh my goodness! I totally agree with the results. I do wonder if I'm like Moses, though. I think of Moses as a very strong man and I don't think of myself in that way. I consider myself to be very weak. Now come to think of it, Moses DID consider himself weak in some respect because he told God that he couldn't speak well and he needed Aaron. Anyway, go to Lynn's post and read what she has to say. And then go take the personality test to see where you lie.

A Question Mark?

Multitasking Mama said she is a "dash" so I thought I'd see what kind of punctuation mark I figure out to be. This is interesting.....I think. According to the results, she and I are not very much alike.

You Are a Question Mark

You seek knowledge and insight in every form possible. You love learning.

And while you know a lot, you don't act like a know it all. You're open to learning you're wrong.

You ask a lot of questions, collect a lot of data, and always dig deep to find out more.

You're naturally curious and inquisitive. You jump to ask a question when the opportunity arises.

Your friends see you as interesting, insightful, and thought provoking.

(But they're not always up for the intense inquisitions that you love!)

You excel in: Higher education

You get along best with: The Comma

Grinch or not a Grinch

I haven't done a quiz for a long time, so after seeing this on another blog I thought it might be fun. I love Christmas, but not for the traditional reasons of Santa and all that stuff. I was actually surprised by this result.

You Are the Furthest Thing From A Grinch

You love and live for the holidays. You even love the Grinch!

You're in the holiday spirit year round... because you're all about celebrating and giving.

Okay, I'm getting angry here! Christy just took this quiz and apparantly she has the perfect "Leave it to Beaver" family. And me? I have THE SIMPSONS! You've got to be kidding! (Actually, it's amazing that me or any of my siblings grew up normal with all of the fighting that we went through during our childhood years. Still....)

Rita, your TV family is the Simpsons!

Cue the blue skies, white clouds, and heavenly chorus — your family is most like everyone's favorite Springfield residents, The Simpsons! Your clan may not have spiky yellow (or blue) hair or only four fingers per hand, but Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie, and even Grandpa are still your family's TV soulmates. Sure, they squabble with the best of them (remember the time Bart burned Lisa's centerpiece? or when Homer ended up living in Bart's tree house after Marge got mad and threw him out?) but they always come through for each other when it counts. Look past the clever one-liners and surreal adventures, and you'll see a family with as much dysfunction — and as much love — as you and your nearest and dearest have in real life. So, to celebrate your Simpsonness, pull up a couch, grab a Duff beer, plop down in front of the TV, veg out, and thank your lucky stars that you don't have the Flanders family living next door!

Celebrity Bobbi & Angelina Jolie?

This is my Yorkie, Bobbi. No, she doesn't look like the typical Yorkie, but she is a purebred and is registered with AKC. She's had 4 litters of puppies and 98% of them turned out to be beautiful. The other 2% looked just like Bobbi. I did some research, and the earliest Yorkshire Terriers, believe it or not, actually were bred to look like Bobbi. Sometime later, breeders began breeding for longer, softer hair and smaller size. Bobbi has coarser hair than most "lovely" Yorkies and she weighs 5 1/2 pounds, a lot for a Yorkie in today's society.

Anyway, with that background, you might wonder how this quiz marked Bobbi as being like Angelina Jolie. I wonder the same thing.

What celebrity would your pet be? I'm Angelina Jolie! Find out at Dogster.com

You Must Be Joking!

Christy gets to be June Cleaver and I'm Marge Simpson??? (I've never even watched the show before, but haven't heard the best things about it). I'm really depressed now!

Take this test!
You are Marge from The Simpsons. You may not share Marge's blue bouffant, but you do share her animated style of mothering. Sometimes the pressures of maintaining a happy home may push you toward the edge, but at the end of the day, you believe in your children wholeheartedly, even when they're being rather, um, spirited.

You encourage your kids' creativity and individuality, whether that means watching them perform the saxophone or helping them raise exotic lizards. You may sometimes say things that sound like old-fashioned parenting clichés, but when it comes down to dealing with domestic disasters, you can be a pretty together, modern mama.

Unique

You Have Not Been Ruined by American Culture

You're nothing like the typical American. In fact, you may not be American at all.

You have a broad view of the world, and you're very well informed.

And while you certainly have been influenced by American culture (who hasn't?), it's not your primary influence.

You take a more global philosophy with your politics, taste, and life. And you're always expanding and revising what you believe.

CHRISTMAS Quiz (i.e. not Holiday)

What The Holidays Mean to You

For you, the holidays are a very spiritual time. You have as much holiday fun as everyone else - but you never forget what you're celebrating.

You celebrate the holidays in a offbeat style. You believe the holidays are for doing whatever you feel like - and some of your "traditions" are pretty wacky.

During the holidays, you feel happily busy. There's so much do to and not a lot of time to do it. But you enjoy every minute of your holiday chores.

You think the holidays should be comforting and relaxing. You don't like the holiday rush... you just like the simple pleasure of the holidays.

Your best holiday memories are warm and intimate. You remember special moments more than gifts or parties.
