Book Review - NIV Bible for Teen Girls (Zondervan)

When I agreed to review this Bible, I knew that I was getting a hardcover Bible in the New International Version. What I didn't expect was to receive one that is filled with daily readings written by popular female authors who are committed Christians, character profiles of Biblical women, promises of God highlighted in pink, and a concordance to help with Bible study.

I have owned a Bible in the NIV for more than 30 years. It is my go-to Bible (leatherbound) and is practically falling apart. I was happy to find a Bible in the same version for my daughter, now ready to turn 14. As her faith grows, so does her hunger for the things of the Lord. I want to feed that hunger with whatever resources I can find. Face it - times are hard and promise to only get harder. She needs to be equipped with God's Word and work at placing it in her heart.

The daily readings in this Bible are from: Bethany Hamilton (one of my daughter's heroes), Annie Downs, Christine Caine, Nicole Weider, Elsa Kok Colopy, Crystal Kirgiss, Bekah Hamrick Martin, Denise Van Eck, and others. They are words of inspiration and encouragement.

I have read and re-read the Bible through each year for the past 13 years and counting. I am hoping my daughter will do the same because when certain problems present themselves, Scripture pops into my heart and my spirit at just the right time. I know that it will do the same for my daughter ..... and for you if you want to journey through the Bible everyday along with us.

*I received a copy of the NIV Bible for Teen Girls in exchange for my honest opinion.*
