Thirty Days of Thankfulness - Day 16

I'll start off with a disclaimer: Yes, I know that is a buffalo and not a deer. It's the only picture in public domain that I could find that fits this post.

We have a seven point buck hanging in our garage tonight! Nobody went hunting; it was given to us by a conservation officer who had to find a "home" for a deer hit in the road by a car.

I am so very thankful for this provision of meat for my family of carnivores. Grocery prices have gone through the roof and I find more and more often that I'm trying to stretch very few dollars. This is a blessing.
