As you're reading this, I am with my husband and two youngest children in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, spending a week in a cabin on a beautiful lake. The leaves are changing color and the air has a crisp, cool feel to it. Fall is here and winter is soon approaching.
I've needed this break badly and am "busy" relaxing, rejuvinating, and taking lots of pictures to share with you.
Now, it sounds silly, but the kids and I made up a menu plan for the week. Why not? It helped us with packing and planning - nothing is forgotten. Each child was to plan a meal that he or she will prepare this week - alone. That helped some with the planning. Ryan is 13 and thinks he's all grown up. He's using a cookbook. Should be interesting. I'm looking forward to it.
You're asking where the hamburgers are. We've already had them :)
