My point, I guess, is that life is busy and it goes by SO swiftly. I'm planning for another week by posting this menu, but, none of us are guaranteed another day, another hour, another minute, another moment on this earth. Sometimes we need to plan time with the Lord - above all of the other stuff that we do.
That is the biggest reason that I leave Sundays as On Your Own, in respects to my menu plan that is. I take the day to spend less time in the kitchen and more time in prayer and respecting the Sabbath. I need a day off too.
Yes, it makes everyone "work" a little by getting their own food, but we generally microwave left-overs - it uses up little bits of this and that and everyone gets to choose his or her own food. It makes the younger ones feel big and important too.

The Hawaiian Wedding Cake is making my mouth water. I went to the link and saw the picture of it! :)
There's so much on your menu that catches my eye!! I've definitely bookmarked a few. :)
Your menu plan sounds so delicious.
You must be very proud of your son. My hat goes off to him for chosing to pursue law enforcement.
