Thankful Thursday time again!
Laurie's theme this week is "We are His Masterpiece." This is a pertinent theme for me, as I have a son who blasts his electric guitar for hours at a time - and I do mean "blasts." He does creative things with his music, like write his own songs and rearrange others to suit his tastes. He plays in the church band (both on Sunday mornings and again for youth group Sunday nights.)
I am thankful for music and for my son's ability, and desire, to play a musical instrument. I am especially thankful that he uses his talent for the furtherance of God's kingdom on earth. Kingdom on earth? His kingdom here is in the hearts of those who love Him. When we spread Christ's love to others, we are furthering His kingdom.
I am thankful that I am created by God and loved by Him. I don't have to ever wonder if I'm "good enough." I am "fearfully and wonderfully made." That's creation from the Master's hand.

Bless you beautiful one.
What a wonderful way to see your son's talent. I know there are many parents who would not necessarily see it as a gift from God.
Having musical ability has to be a gift from God ... one that I did not receive. My son however spent hours in his room teaching himself the guitar. Years later, he now plays in a worship band..giving God all the glory for his talent. Thanks for sharing with us today over at TT!
That's right- God gave Him the talent. Hopefully, he will use his gift for God's glory.
I can't wait to hear his "blasting" in person...over the phone is nice but in person will be so much better. He is extremely gifted...praise God!
It is comforting to know we don't have to try to be "good enough" and we are HIS masterpiece. Have a lovely Friday!
