"Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done." 1 Chronicles 16:8 (NIV)
It's already Thankful Thursday again. Time is going so fast these days. My husband will be home a few more days and then he'll be back at work once again. I think that having him here for six weeks has put everything on a different schedule - not necessarily bad, but different. I've also found that I don't really get things done like I did when it was just me and the kids here. But that's life and I need to learn to adjust better.
The above verse from 1 Chronicles says to make what God has done known among the nations. Once I've given thanks to the Lord, I am supposed to let everyone else know how great is the God we serve. That's what I'm doing now. My thankful list:
- Evan gets to go to Florida with his youth group and is leaving on Friday. We didn't think he'd be able to go for a couple of reasons, but it came together. He's excited about going.
- I can go to my heavenly Father with my concerns and fears as well as to praise and thank Him. He cares and listens and NEVER turns me away.
- I reconnected with some of my classmates from high school this week. I can't believe how much some of them have changed in 30 years and how many of them look like they are still teenagers. I've wanted so badly to see these folks again someday and it's happened!
- Praise God for our neighbor and God's hand upon his life. He had a medical scare over the weekend but is doing very well now. The Lord is mighty.

Rita, what a beautiful list of gratitude! Yes we ALL have so much to be thankful for and a good starting point is just look out our window and see how God has blessed us with everything that we could ever possibly need. Praise God. Thanks for sharing. -Laurie

So glad things are getting back to normal for your house! Happy Thursday!
What a wonderful list of blessings! I'm thankful we can go to Him whenever we need to -- we don't have to go through anyone else!
