Today is Aloha Friday over at Island Life. The weather here in Michigan is nothing like the weather in sunny Hawaii, I'm sure, but we're getting some warmer temperatures. For that, I'm grateful!
The morels are beginning to pop and, over in the Boyne Falls area, folks are beginning to find the early blacks. With rain the past couple of days and more in the forecast for the weekend, it won't be long until the woods are teeming with "rooners", including my own clan. Today, in fact, my husband and children are going out in the Pigeon to see what they can find. We have some "secret spots" that I really don't think are all that secret anymore.
My question is, have you ever hunted for mushrooms?
Personally, I love to look for them but I hate to eat them.

No I have never hunted for them. Sometimes I find huge ones growing in my yard that I think are poisonous.
I have never hunted for them, but I love to eat them if they are purchased from the supermarket!
Yes, I've hunted morels. Best haul was two shopping bags full. Yummy!
No. I'm afraid of them being poisonous or previously visited by dogs.
No, but I love to eat them
No lol
No...unless going to Red Robin for their mushroom burger counts?
No, can not say that I have ever done that. Mind you I have removed the nasty ones that used to grow outside my parents house.
