Thankful Thursday - March 4

Proverbs 9:10a "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom."

This is going to be a short but sweet post. I've wallowed in self-pity the past couple of days and it's time to snap out of it. When I read the above Scripture from Proverbs, I got excited. To have holy fear of a holy God is the beginning of wisdom. Isn't that great? Yes, I'm excited over the BEGINNING of wisdom!

This week I'm thankful for:

  • My husband is home and recuperating from his surgery and PE. I could be a widow tonight but the Lord saw fit to keep my husband safe.
  • Although the furnace is still not working, we are able to keep fairly warm with electric heaters. Praise God that He takes care of our needs.
  • I was able to get to Bible study tonight - I sure needed it. To study the Bible with the great group of people we meet with each week is wonderful, like getting a breath of much needed air.
  • Spring is in the air and I am so thankful that it is. Sometimes I feel as if I'm stuck in "always winter but never Christmas."
Thankful Thursday is moved to Spiritually Unequal Marriage this week. I hope you'll visit other thankful blogs and maybe even participate too.

Wow, Girl,

You have had a tough time. Glad your husband has been watched over by the Lord.

Stay warm and yes, God is the beginning of wisdom... And, girl, we know that truth and it sets us free. Have fun at Bible Study next week and have a wonderful TT. Hugs.

Been there. The feeling of woes. I heard a sermon that Sunday. The Lord spoke though it. "Snap out, I am Here". When I slip back, and I do, I remember the Lord has something for me coming soon. Your something has surely arrived. The wisdom is in the Scriptures. Thankful for my Husband , Daughter and Father still on this earth. Praises go to God for your Husband Life. Enjoy Life-A gift.

I am glad your hubby is doing better. You are so right about remembering you have more time with him. We just never do know do we? Appreciating the moment can be hard when things seem bleak. Glad you got to bible study- that always reminds us that we NEED to LEAN on GOD.
God will always grant the desires of our heart. I know I am thankful for that daily.
Many Blessings, Have a wonderful Weekend

Gosh I'm glad your hubby is OK. I worked as a cardiovascular nurse for more than 20 years and I know how dangerous a PE really can be. Praise God that he was diagnosed quickly and got care.

And I hope that spring comes quickly to your area. I hate to say this but in Phoenix it's been in the high 70's and low 80's. Maybe we could send some of our heat your way?

Great TT list. And thanks for visiting Heart Choices. I love to meet new blogging friends.
