My niece had her first baby tonight, a boy. It brings me back to when I had my firstborn, also a son and also early. This baby is only 3 weeks early; mine was 6 weeks early. The doctor nor the nurses would let me hold my son because he was too little and needed to be put in an incubator. It was 24 hours later when I was finally able to hold him but only for limited amounts of time.
This son is now 20 and he's no longer a tiny thing. My, how time flies.

Well congrats with the new family member, new babies are always so exciting. My cousin just had a little girl, she was only a week early, not bad at all. I was early like your son. Just over 3 lbs, my mom felt the same way- as she could not hold me either. God always does have a wonderful plan though. Maybe just to help others that might face the same path. Congrats again.
