Amanda helped me make egg noodles this morning instead of doing "regular" school. She made a huge mess and I tried so hard to be patient. I hope I was. Then tonight I decided to quickly make up pie crust and use up a can of homemade pie filling. She wanted to help with that. Again, where oh where is my patience?
It's so hard to "train up a child" but if we're diligent, the results are supposed to be worth it all.

Keep working on the patience thing because in the end it really pays off. I used to let Bethany "help" in the kitchen when she was little. She now loves cooking and guess who most nights has my meals ready when I get home from work at 6:30/7:00? She is very capable in the kitchen - a great asset for a new wife someday.
