Menu Plan Monday - January 9

A big thanks to those who entered the My Memories digital scrapbooking software giveaway. Kelsey K. is my winner and she has been notified with the software code.

We had some ups and downs this week with finances - mainly the problem of my husband's handheld going down a week ago and thus not recording two days of sales. That meant that we could not get the commissions on this week's paycheck. OUCH! I am making the menu plan to revolve around food that we already had on hand (other than milk, eggs, and a few staples).

May I remind you that your local public library likely has many cookbooks on hand? They are great fun to pore over with hopes of getting good recipes and idea. This week I checked out Amish Cooking with Sicily Yoder. Her recipes tend to feed large families (I'm talking larger than mine). I am cutting many of them in half in order to feed my family of seven. Here's what we're planning for the week:

Monday

Hamburgers on the grill
French Fries
Sweet Corn
Tuesday

Homemade Manicotti
Salads
Asparagus

Wednesday

Chef Salads
Peaches

Thursday

Library Staff Dinner
Deep Dish Turkey Pot Pie for the kids

Friday

Pizza & Pop

Saturday

Siciliy's Sausage Rolls
Acorn Squash
Poor Man's Pie
Zucchini Custard

Sunday

On Your Own
