Book Review - An Angel by Her Side by Ruth Reid

An Angel by Her Side is written by Ruth Reid and is published by Thomas Nelson.

Angel stories are always fascinating, but if you add the appeal of a heart-warming Amish story you get a blessing. At least that's what I got from An Angel by Her Side. The gist of the story is this:

Katie Bender is the teacher at the Amish school in the district. In the opening pages, Katie rushes out of the school building and into the cellar with her students as a tremendous tornado comes raging through. A stranger, Seth Stutzman, enters the cellar as well. The schoolhouse is ravaged.

Katie's ravaged heart (she lost her boyfriend to a drowning accident before this book begins) is drawn to Seth. But Seth has secrets that could tear their potential romance into a tizzy.

I absolutely loved reading this story. It is a light read that simply warms your heart and gives you all of the goosebumps and giddy feelings that a good romance should. All without the trash that mainstream romance throws at its readers. I don't know about you, but if a book is "squeaky clean" yet moves me to a better place, it's worth my time and my money.

This is book #3 of the Heaven on Earth series.

*I received a copy of An Angel by Her Side in exchange for my honest opinion. Opinions expressed are my own.*
