Book Review - More than a Bucket List by Toni Birdsong

More than a Bucket List: Making Your Dreams, Passions, and Faith a Reality is written by Toni Birdsong and is published by Thomas Nelson.

You've all seen the movie "The Bucket List" haven't you? If not, you've probably at least heard the term used as it pertains to doing some things you've always wanted to before you die. In the movie, Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman go on some pretty wild adventures as they check off the items on their rather long and complicated lists.

More than a Bucket List makes more out of a wish list than simply living for yourself and doing what you've always wanted to. It gives ideas for having a lot of fun for you, yes. But it also incorporates doing for others - and the joy you can, and should, derive from acts of service. Some of the ideas are seemingly small and easy things, such as learning to do something new that you've always dreamed of doing - like climb a tree. Others are fairly huge, like visiting Israel (one of my dreams).

More than a Bucket List makes for a wonderful devotional as well as a guide book. I enjoyed reading through the thoughtful personal stories and the Scriptures used throughout. It would make a good gift for one of our kids - you know, for that "something to read" item.

The back of the book contains pages that you can fill with your own ideas and dreams.

*I received a copy of More than a Bucket List: Making Your Dreams, Passions, and Faith a Reality in exchange for my honest opinion. Opinions expressed are my own.*
