Menu Plan Monday - April 11

Wow, did we ever get strong thunderstorms rolling through here! They were frightening, but the beautiful rainbow that appeared later was a wonderful reminder of God's love and protection.

Speaking of beautiful, I love to see beautiful tables set with beautiful plates and silverware and all of it on top of beautiful tablecloths. How about you? I used to think it was all vanity until I really read through and prayed about what is taught in Proverbs chapter 31. I learned that a wife and mother can make the family table an ugly, unwanted place to be, or she can make it a thing of beauty - inviting and a place where the family loves to gather for great fellowship.

My young daughter likes to place a frilly tablecloth and candles on the table. Sometimes we use china and crystal goblets, along with my best silverware, for a simple family supper. It's fun and everyone seems to end up in a more jovial mood than they were before coming to the table.

How about you? Do you do anything special at supper time to "set the mood"? I'd love to hear about it. Here's what we're planning for this week. Don't forget to visit Organizing Junkie for lots of other menu plans (and I do mean lots).
