ISAIAH 46:4 "I will be your God through all your lifetime, yes, even when your hair is white with age."
Laurie at Women Taking a Stand posted this Scripture verse in her Thankful Thursday post for this week and I thought it was very fitting with the theme, I am a child of God.
When times are rough and it seems as if I'm being tossed into brick walls, only to bounce back and be tossed again, I find great joy in knowing that God is not tossing me. Rather, He is there to catch me. He's a great Father - the best. The Bible says that God has every hair on my head numbered; God cares so much about every tiny detail in my life. I have really thick hair - that's a lot of hairs to count. Not only does He know and care for me that much, but He cares and knows each of His children that much too.
As I come to realization of this great and loving God, I can only be thankful for everything He either gives me or allows to come into my life. I am also thankful that He disallows some stuff to come my way too.
This week I'm thankful that:
- I was able to go to Bible study tonight. I throughly enjoy being with other believers, studying and learning more about Christ.
- I have friends. When God made Eve for Adam it was because Adam needed to be with another person. Wasn't God enough? Obviously not because God said, "It's not good for the Man to be alone; I'll make him a helper, a companion."(Genesis 2:18a) The Message
- Jeff is back to work and he made it through, albeit tired and all. He now has pink eye, so we could use prayer for that.
- I have this computer to help me journal through my spiritual life and share it with others. This blog draws about 65 visitors a day, sometimes more, sometimes less. I'm blessed to be able to minister and be ministered to in ways that I never thought I would.
