Did you know that the Geneva Bible (1560 & 1599) was published before the King James Version (1611)? The Geneva Bible is the one that the Puritans brought to New England and is the one they "lived by." I have to wonder why people today insist that the King James Version is the "only" one that we should read and learn from because it is certainly not the first English translation in America or England or elsewhere. I think that maybe it's just something about personal preferences.
