Jonathon spoke to a garden club tonight about giant silk moths. He brought several cases of mounted moths also. There were about 40 people there and I guess he was pretty nervous. Still, everyone loved him and was super impressed by his knowledge in this area. For some reason, they were surprised to find out that he is homeschooled. Why are people always surprised by that?
The club wants to give Jonathon a scholarship of $750, so he's to contact them next year. I hope we don't lose the name, address & phone number of the scholarship contact person!
Please, please, please. If you're a student, don't be afraid to stretch yourself; don't be afraid to give of yourself; don't be afraid to show others that you care about them rather than what they can offer you. In the end, you're blessed.
