Book Review- Body & Soul by Bethany Hamilton

Body & Soul is written by Bethany Hamilton with Dustin Dillberg, L.Ac., PAS and is published by Zondervan.

I finally found the health and fitness book I was looking for. My daughter is turning 13 in October. Need I say more? I have searched and searched for a good fitness book that combines faith with healthy eating, exercise, and God's view of a teen's body. This book is all of that. Bethany Hamilton (Soul Surfer) is a young woman who has a deep faith in the Lord and has used that faith to get through what most of us might not have. She knows how valuable our bodies are to us, but more importantly, to God. This knowledge shines through in this guidebook/recipe book/inspirational book.

Body & Soul is big - it measures 7" x 10 3/4". It's not going to get lost all that easy. I love the great, healthy recipes that use ingredients that I've tried and tried to interest my daughter in. What she scorned a while back she now looks at with new eyes. There is a good "diet", aka eating plan, inside as well as exercises that are simple but effective. The best part is that it is all scaled to what a growing teen and young adult body needs to grow healthy and strong.

I have to finish this review quickly because my daughter wants me to give her the book back. I hope you'll check it out if you have young daughters. I love, love, love this book!

*I received a copy of Body & Soul in exchange for my honest opinion.*
