Time sure is going by fast these days. We don't get much of an autumn season up here. Usually it's just winter and a quick summer. This week is proving that winter comes to the north early. It's time to begin making those warming casseroles and crock-pot suppers.
The biggest reason we have "on your own" suppers on Sundays is because we have church in the morning, then come home for lunch. We head back to church late afternoon for Bible Study and youth groups. There isn't much time for anything in between except for a quick nap and a shower. It's easier to have everyone fend for themselves those days.
My son, Ryan, formulated this week's menu for me. You can find other plans at Organizing Junkie.
Monday
Zesty Italian Meatballs with Spaghetti (spaghetti sauce rather than BBQ)
Green Beans
Tuesday
Oven-fried Chicken Rice or corn flour works well in place of regular flour.
Corn
Mashed Potatoes
Wednesday
Baked Potatoes
Fried Cabbage
Thursday
Salads
Friday
Pizza & Pop
Saturday
Chips & Salsa
Sunday
On Your Own!
