Book Review - Max on Life by Max Lucado

Do you ever wish you had a bunch of Max Lucado's bits of wisdom all in one concise volume? Now you can with his latest book, Max on Life: Answers and Inspiration for Today's Questions (Thomas Nelson Publishers). This book, as the subtitle suggests, is filled with answers to the questions that you and I ask, the tough questions about God, Heaven, death, suffering, finances, worry - there's a lot in there.

The book also includes an addendum at the back which will aid future and present writers with some of the questions they have - this is a real boost for me. I think Max Lucado is a wonderful writer and I know others feel the same. Just look at the vast amount of books he's written and sold successfully. I think all Christian writers could learn a thing or two from him.

I enjoyed reading this book because, for one thing, it's easy to read. Here's the format: A question is asked and Max answers with honesty and good old-fashioned Biblical wisdom. A topical and Biblical reference section is included in the book. You will enjoy cross referencing with it if you lean toward serious Bible study. I don't think, however, that the book is as "novel" as some of the other Max Lucado books I've read in the past. It is more like a rehash of earlier works - but still worth the reading.

I think I'll keep this book with my other reference books. I'm sure I'll go back to it from time to time.

**I received a copy of Max on Life in exchange for my honest review. The opinions expressed are my own**
