Thankful Thursday - November 18

It's getting close to Thanksgiving Day already - just one week left. Can you believe that it has crept upon us so quickly? I think it's a sign that I'm getting older because I can barely remember the time when a year took forever. It flies past me so fast now that I barely have the chance to get all of the things on my ever growing "to do" lists.

I'm thankful for the years I've lived on this earth thus far - and for the unknown number that I have left. I'm even more grateful that I have an eternity waiting for me after this journey has ended. Eternity here would be unbearable, with the aches and pains I seem to be gaining, but eternity in Heaven will be glorious and FREE!

We have had a good autumn so far, not too terribly cold yet. It's coming, though. This week I'm thankful for:

  • My family
  • Our pets - they make the days more interesting.
  • Food on the table
  • A wonderful church
  • Facebook - I've reconnected with many folks from my school years and I'm loving the chance to talk to them again.
  • My blog buddies, without whom I don't know how I ever got along without.
What puts a smile on your face these days? Remember the old saying, "Smile, God loves you!" Knowing that should bring you joy.

Laurie at Women Taking a Stand is hosting this week. Visit her to link up or to read the many thankful posts.

I loved your list of thankfulness. Hasn't God been good to us!

I'm thankful for a church family too. It sure would be lonely without them!
