Thankful Thursday - July 8

This has been a wild week thus far. It has been in the 80's and 90's this week and we are scorching - we're more used to 70's in the summer. I can't complain because it is helping my garden to grow, which will fill our pantry and freezer for winter use. And when it's winter in northern Michigan, you're thankful for those few weeks of heat you get in the summer.

Our oldest son (age 21) entered the police academy this week and is doing well. We're so proud of him and know he will make a good police officer. Our country is in dire need of Christian law officers, don't you think?

My husband is working long hours but is encouraged because sales are doing pretty well this summer. Hopefully we will be caught up financially by the time the paychecks lessen after Labor Day.

I'm taking four kids to the dentist tomorrow. Three of them have cavities to fill. Praise God for the abilities of the dentists and surgeons. It hasn't been all that long ago that people lost their teeth over cavities.

We're meeting at Spiritually Unequal Marriage this month. Hope to see you there!

Hi Rita,

So neat about your son and I soooo agree, we need more Christian officers.
