Thankful Thursday - January 7

Some friends on Facebook asked us to unashamedly post about our love for Jesus. As I ponder that, I realize that it is easy to express our love for the Lord when in our own little Christian circles. It becomes more difficult when we're with those who don't share that same affection for such a GREAT GOD.

This week's Thankful Thursday host is Lynn at Spiritually Unequal Marriage. She poses the question, "What are you expecting to do in the Kingdom this year?"

Such a loaded question! What I want to do and what I expect to do might be different. I want to be a light that leads others to salvation in Christ. I want to work hard at being less ashamed and becoming more on fire for Him. I want to "tell the story."

This week I'm thankful for the many blessings that come our way each day, those we see visibly and those we don't recognize. I'm thankful that God loves me enough to discipline me when I need it. I'm thankful for friends and family whom He uses to bring me to the place that I see what I am lacking. I'm thankful for the good that I am able to do for Him. There are difficulties that pull on our lives and I praise God that, although I cannot post everything that happens online, He knows my heart's cry and responds as only God can.

I pray that you all have a wonderful week ahead. Take time to thank the Lord today for the blessings in your life.

God is abundantly good and merciful, indeed we have a lot to be thankful for. Thanks for your post. I share everything you're thankful for and I know it's because we have, love, and serve one Father.
