Interested in learning how to cook healthier? Would you like a chance to win a case of Dreamfields Pasta and an autographed book, Permission Slips by Sherri Shepherd? Dreamfields is presenting a Diabetes 1.0 LIVE webcast that you might find interesting. I have decided to attend. If  you're interested in learning more, go here.

Last night I splurged (with a gift card :) and bought Shape, the Mari Winsor Pilates for Pink Core Challenge dvd. I'm going to give this exercise workout a try because my eight-year-old daughter and I both need some help with getting our bodies in shape. Yes, I know my daughter is only eight, but I also know that her weight is way off what it should be (doctor confirmed this) and she needs to be on a diet with exercise (also doctor confirmed.) What better way to encourage her than to do the exercise routine and better eating habits myself? I'm excited. I even bought a pair of yoga pants so I could move easier. Those who know me will laugh - I got a petite size pants and they're still so long that I'm walking on them! HA! Gotta love being short!

It's sunny here and beautiful with just enough snow on the ground to make it sparkle. So far we've had less snow than normal for our area. I hope my southern and eastern friends (and I've heard even the west?) are staying warm and safe.

Habits (both good and bad) are more easily formed when they are younger. I want my daughter to be at a healthy weight also...more for her health than her physical appearance. She also does Pilates with me.
