Thankful Thursday - August 6

Thankful Thursday is hosted this week by Iris at Grace Alone. I don't have a lot of time today but I do want to give thanks to my heavenly Father for all that He's given - grace that I don't deserve.

My son is doing well in Africa and will soon be heading back home - they will be home Monday evening. I just read a few updates on the church website and it broke my heart to read about the unsanitary conditions at the hospital there, the kids sniffing glue and smoking weed on the streets, the sadness and despair that people without Jesus suffer. Praise be to God that He's using my son and other teens to minister to those who are suffering clear around the other side of the world! My deepest prayer for my children is that God will use each of them to His glory. I'm beginning to see some of that prayer become reality.

Thanks to the Lord for His blessings and for all that He does in our lives.

Glad to hear that your son is doing well. Will continue to pray for his time there and that the Lord will work through him, touching the young ones lives in a dramatic way for Christ.

"My deepest prayer for my children is that God will use each of them to His glory." That is my prayer, too! I'm sure your son's missions trip will bear much fruit.

I've been thinking about him on the trip all week! I'm glad they are doing well. It will be great to have him home, I'm sure. I pray that this trip be the start (should I say, continuation?) of wonderful things for your son.
