PSALM 19:9,10 "The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb." (NKJV)
Laurie at Women Taking a Stand is hosting Thankful Thursday this week. She chose a great couple of verses to share and since they seem to hit a chord with me tonight, I'm going to use them too.
The words and laws of God are truly sweet and fair. In a world where everyone is screaming, "Not fair, not fair!" I have to say that if you want justice and fairness, turn to the Lord. He isn't swayed by riches or social status. I'm glad I can count on Him to always do what is right.
This week I'm thankful for:
- My son, Jonathon, was able to go with the church youth group to New York City for a senior outing. It's a thing they do every year. We thought it was going to cost a lot of money that we did not have, but it turns out that he only needed money for food for the week. They arrive home tomorrow sometime. I'm hoping this kid will be pumped up and on fire. By the way, Jonathon leaves for a missions trip to Mombasa, Kenya at the end of July. He, and the others going on the trip, could use prayer.
- Ministering opportunities, no matter how small in my eyes. God takes what little I do and multiplies it over and over.
- My husband's health is just about 100% now. He's starting to get used to the sleep machine and he says that he wakes up feeling rested.
