Aloha Friday - Summer

Summer is nearly upon us here in the United States. We're a homeschooling family that takes summers off from schoolwork. That means I can have some time to myself- sort of. I'm free to garden, which is something that I really enjoy.

Today, I'm wondering how YOU spend the summer months?

Visit Aloha Fridays to find lots more blogs with questions.

I also homeschool and use the summer months to rejuvenate. We play outdoors, visit relatives, have lots of cookouts and backyard gatherings and we are going to try camping again after an 8 year break. I also enjoy gardening and photography so I'll try to throw some of that in the mix too! :D

We don't homeschool however we are doing school this summer since oldest child decided that "c's" were acceptable! Plus we're going to visit family. Good thing homeschool stuff is portable.

We seem to stay pretty busy.. My oldest is in a few sports camps.. We will go camping and swim! Lazy days would be nice too.

I garden, and there are a lot of outdoor fun stuff to do in my neck of the woods so I try to get out and attend some of those fun events. I'm planning to head to Saturday Market tomorrow. :)

I spend time with my boys. I am a teacher, but have not been in a classroom since I had my little guy two years ago. I am currently trying to figure out things to do with the boys while hubby is at work.

We live in a small town that has a really neat water park. We'll spend most of our time there but a have a couple of vacations planned. My friends and I are going to also try and visit so of the neat places around SW AR that we don't have time to during the school year.

My kids are still young.. so it seems that summer is the same as winter lol We live in the southwest where it gets terribly hot in the summers and just mildly cool in the winters.. I look forward to vacation this summer!
