Student IDs

Have you heard about the International Student Identity Card (ISIC)? When I heard about it I knew that I had to check it out - I have one college student now with another one close on his heels.

You might think that you don't need a card like this because you have an ID card issued from your college, but you might want to rethink that.

The reason I'd like my own students to get an ISIC card is because it is the only student ID card recognized internationally. It's a card that packs a huge amount of discounts - literally thousands - to places that you visit or shop, like Target.com (10% off) and the Hardrock Cafe ($13 menu).

Maybe you have travel needs like car rentals, flight or train tickets, or hotel stays. A quick and simple search at the ISIC website will give you all the information you need to find the best deals.

The student ID card costs $22 yearly which is nothing compared to what you'll save by having it.

Not an actively enrolled student? Don't worry. There are other cards available for youth (ages 12-26) and teachers.

Check out ISIC today to see if it's a good thing for you.
