Thankful Thursday - Dec. 3

"And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful." Colossians 3:14-15 (ESV)

This has been a difficult week for me thus far, for various reasons. I can choose to wallow in self-pity, anger and frustration, OR I can choose to "put on love," forgiving those who have hurt and continue to hurt me.

I can choose to worry about my mom as she continues to recover after a difficult battle, OR I can choose to praise God that He saw fit to spare her life and give her more time to witness to our unsaved family and friends.

I can choose to do a lot of things that are not Christ-like, OR I can choose to exemplify what being a member of God's family is all about. He's promises peace to those who do.

I'm so thankful He gave me that choice. How about you?

I love things that talk about choice. You are so right, we can choose to be thankful or choose to focus on the negative. I choose to thank God!

I can feel your heavy heart. All you can do is cherish every minute you have with her. And be at peace with what may come.
With my life I have now made peace with my self. And accept what my hubby want to do with his life. I will no longer make him have surgery's. He will have to want them.

Having an attitude of worship and thanks is all in the choices that we make. Glad to hear that in the middle of your time of need that you are expressing thanks. -Blessings, Laurie
