Randomness Once Again

Okay...UPDATE! The people in the band who I couldn't identify? Matthew West. That's what Jeff told me anyway. If you click on the photo it will enlarge and you can see Matthew West standing with his hands in his pockets.

Since I'm sort of tired and brain dead tonight, I thought I'd post more randomness rather than post nothing...I do have a huge faithful following here (HAAAA).

Here is a tip for a fantastic pie crust that resembles what some of the restaurants I've been to make. Add 1 Tbsp. powdered milk to your favorite pie crust recipe.

Add young dandelion leaves to your salads for flavor but more importantly, vitamins. Be sure to pick them from an area that doesn't receive animal traffic and wash thoroughly before using.

Pastor Greg Laurie has been talking about his life story (Lost Boy) and I've really enjoyed learning from him. I won an Amazon.com gift certificate recently and am considering getting this book with it.

Something I've learned: Even people whom I considered to be smarter and wiser than me (mostly because they're older) are not necessarily smarter and wiser.

Everyone has a need to connect with someone.

From our Sunday school lesson: Kindness does something and actively seeks the good of others. John Wesley said, "Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can."

Oh I love the kindness quote... sometimes it's hard, but if God shows that kindness to us, then who are we to deny it to others? Whenever I get feeling selfish I always have to remember that Christ gave Himself up for us, so we should be willing to die to self and give everything to God, which includes doing good to everyone, all of the time!

Thanks again for the Eternity book. I'm about half way through it and I love it!!!
